Fur Rondy 2013 Snow Sculptures

We were welcomed by the stunning snow sculpture of the crucifixion of Christ at this year’s Fur Rondy. A local artist created the scene working alone throughout the week. We love to take our time at events especially when contact and conversation with the artists is readily available. The kids had lots of questions and enthusiasm.

The GCI Snow Sculpture Competition can be found at Ship Creek in Anchorage. This is a family friendly event – but no touching and no climbing! Parking can easily be found between the event, Days Inn and the Ulu factory.
